French Prime Minister visits TUM

The French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, together with his wife, visited Munich las weekend. One of his stops was the visit of the Institute for Cognitive Systems at Technische Universität München, led by CoTeSys-PI Prof. Gordon Cheng.

The French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, together with his wife, visited Bavaria on April 5 and 6. 2013. In Munich, one of their stops was at the Institute for Cognitive Systems (ICS), led by Prof. Gordon Cheng, CoTeSys PI, on Saturday morning. 

TUM president, Prof. Wolfgang A. Herrmann, introduced the research profile and the development of Technische Universität München to the French head of government. Afterwards, the Institute for Cognitive Systems presented some of their research works, for instance the robot Mask-Bot or the Hex-O-Skin, a sensing skin for robots. 

The institute is collaborating closely with a number of French universities.
