CoTeSys Best Paper Award at IROS 2011

At the IEEE conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS) held in San Fransisco/USA CoTeSys coordinator Prof. Martin Buss presented the CoTeSys Best Paper Award.

The CoTeSys Best Paper Award at IROS 2011 was split this year. We congratulate the two winning teams:

Anand Thobbi, Ye Gu and Weihua Sheng, Oklahoma State University/USA for their paper: "Using Human Motion Estimation for Human-Robot Cooperative Manipulation" and

Niklas Bergström, Marten Björkman and Danica Kragic, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm/Sweden for their work on "Generating Object Hypotheses in Natural Scenes through Human-Robot Interaction".

The jury praised the papers as the show "new insights and have demonstrated nice results".

Furthermore, a number of CoTeSys researchers participated at IROS, e.g. in the PR2 Workshop.
