The RGB-D Workshop on 3D Perception in Robotics on April 8th, 2011, at the European Robotics Forum 2011 in VästerÃ¥s / Sweden, initiated by Prof. Michael Beetz and Dejan Pangercic, Intelligent Autonomous Systems Group/TUM, was a great success.

The workshop was fully booked and all talks were of a very high quality. Richard Newcombe and Stephane Magnenat even showed live demos during their talks. As most of the participants came from academia, lots of new contacts have been established. The combined poster and demo session was also a success, the presenters were besieged until the talks were resumed. All abstracts, slides, and posters will be available on our workshop website soon.

The European Robotics Forum is a gathering of representatives of all European robotics stakeholders from industry, research, academia and public and private investors. It primarily aims at facilitating networking between these groups through numerous plenary sessions and smaller workshops of common interest.
