With 120 scientists from 5 leading-edge research organizations in the Munich area, our objective is to study the feasibility of turning biological principles of cognition into technical systems like robots and demonstrate their huge potential for new products in challenging scenarios.

CoTeSys serves as a “hub” for excellent research with national grants supporting the core projects and infrastructure, while “satellite projects” with industrial and EU funding are to add competences and enlarge the network of sci­en­tists.

Persons with strong disciplinary background (control, mechanical or electrical engineering, communication, information theory, computer science, mathematics, psychology, man-machine interfaces, cognition, robotics, artificial intelligence etc.) and interest to work in an interdisciplinary environment are desired.

Requirements are a successful degree (master/diploma/doctoral/PhD) with excellent records.

To support the creation of the network of “Satellite Projects”, we are looking for a

Proposal Manager m/f

for immediate appointment.

The ideal candidate has a broad scientific and industrial background in computer vision, intelligent control, robotics, and/or artificial intelligence, possibly awarded with a PhD, and has profound knowledge in the EU proposal process.

You know your way around European institutions and are equally familiar with the structure and allocation of European RTD funding programs.

You are versed in structuring projects, composing texts, organizing consortia, taking the lead in meetings and workshops, assessing the terms of reference in typical contracts. You know what successful EU project management means.

Your work style is dynamic and success oriented, and you can cope with the challenges of international work, loads of papers and e-mails, and working at several proposals simultaneously.

Zur Unterstützung der Geschäftsführung des Exzellenclusters „Cognition for Technical Systems – CoTeSys“ sucht die Technische Universität München zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine/einen qualifizierte/n und engagierte/n

Verwaltungsangestellte/ten Finanzwesen (vollzeit)

Ihr Aufgabengebiet:

Einrichtung und Überwachung von Kostenstellen im ganzen Cluster mit über 50 Einzelprojekten und ca. 120 Wissenschaftlern. Erstellung von Vierteljahres- und Jahresabrechungen. Buchungen, die an der Geschäftsstelle anfallen. Beratung der Kollegen/Kolleginnen im Cluster bei Buchungen und Mittelüberwachung bzw. Mitteltransfer zu den externen Partnerorganisationen.

Hierzu nutzen Sie das SAP-System der Technischen Universität sowie die Eigenentwicklung myDFG.

Ihr Anforderungsprofil:

Sie haben einen Abschluss als Bürokaufmann/kauffrau oder entsprechende Kompetenzen über andere Ausbildungswege erworben, haben Praxiserfahrung und sind mit Verfahren der öffentlichen Verwaltung vertraut. Sie besitzen neben sehr guten Excel-Kenntnissen möglichst auch Access und SAP R/3-Anwendungserfahrung. Sie verfügen über sehr hohe Verantwortungsbereitschaft im Umgang mit Zahlen und Finanzen.

Aufgrund der Beratungsnotwendigkeit von Kolleginnen und Kollegen sollten Sie auch Kommunikationsfreude besitzen. Mit Hinblick auf die internationale Besetzung im Cluster sind gute Englischkenntnisse erforderlich.

Unser Angebot:

Wir bieten Ihnen eine abwechslungsreiche und anspruchsvolle Tätigkeit in einem sehr interessanten Umfeld. Die Stelle wird nach TV-L vergütet und ist in Abhängigkeit von der Laufzeit der Clusterförderung zunächst bis zum 31.10.2011 befristet.
